FORUM CHOOSES PRIORITY PROJECTS TO SHAPE CALOUNDRA’S FUTURE
Caloundra Futures Forum (CFF) has selected five innovative projects to positively advance the development of Caloundra City over the next year and well in to the future.
Each visionary project aims to foster the city’s environmental, economic, educational, employment, and cultural development.
The five priority Projects are:
1. Research and development of key sustainability indicators to objectively measure the quality of life within our region, particularly addressing the challenges of current and projected high population and business growth. CFF Project leader: Mark Bachels, PB,

2. Seeking Federal Government funding to develop the Quad Park sports venue into a “Smart Stadium” with a unique Automated Player Analysis System to provide coaches and athletes with critical, real-time detailed performance feedback in a video format. 3. Identifying and analysing the City’s current and future skills issues and patterns of likely “new” jobs in the future. 4. Establishing a reference group to investigate the issue of housing affordability in Caloundra and the broader region, including alternative models for delivering housing and density.
