Sunshine Coast Regional Council, Community Conference - Bill McDonald was invited as a delegate to the two-day Conference designed to inform the new Corporate Plan.

3rd Phase of Growing Creative Business programme commenced

SCE Operational-Administrative and Accounts - Mandy Kato joins the SCE team in a part-time capacity.

Economic Development Australia Awards - Bill McDonald and Gerrie Carr-MacFie receive Finalist awards for Leadership in Economic Development.

Industry Development - 68 manufacturing stakeholders attend the State of Manufacturing Forum with Dr Peter Burn AiGroup, David Edwards Executive Director CEDA Qld and Competitive Manufacturing SC TAFE presentation.

Industry Leadership - SCE acquits remainder of $262,500 Caloundra Futures Forum funding. This finalizes the CFF contribution of industry to projects such as Sunshine Coast Sustainability Indicators & Report Card / Affordable Housing / Revitalising Bulcock St / Stockland Park Stadium Submission / Sunshine Coast Advocacy & Leadership  project.

Building Capability in the SME sector - SCE is a sponsor of the Small Business Expo which attracts 2000 small business participants to the Kawana Community Centre where trade exhibitors and workshops showcase small business support services.

Building Capacity through Enterprise Clusters - Auspice agreement facilitated with 20 industry representatives for ‘SunED’ - a collaborative project to market Sunshine Coast as a destination of choice for international students.

Revitalising Bulcock St - 1200 visitors attend SCE / Caloundra Chamber information tent to express aspirations on the future of Bulcock St.

Operational - Karen Rixon seconded from SCRC for 2 days per week administration support/Pushpa Prem commences in part-time Mature Age Employment program at SCE.
